On Kumano Pilgrimages
Fujishiro Shrine (藤白神社) is located in Kainan, Wakayama Prefecture. It's been very popular since Heian period because it was located on the Kumano pilgrimages trail. There are 99 shrines and temples on the Kumano pilgrimages trail and this shine was one of the 5 important shrines and temples of 99. There are huge Camphor Laurel trees.
