Endo House is one of traditional house located in Tamugimata, Yamagata prefecture. Tamugimata is the village that developed as the postal town between Shonai and inland.

This house was constructed in late Edo period, and has typical Kabuto Style Multi layered House. This style of the house is very unique in Japan.

1F is for the house owners and family.
2F is for the servants and storage.
3F is for breeding silkwarms.

Tamugimata is located in narrow valley with heavy snow. Therefore, all the fanctions are built in one house.
