There are about 2,500 waterfalls which has more than 5m (17 ft.) high and the constant activity of water. Japan is also know as the country of mountain and forest which create many beautiful waterfalls all over in Japan. The highest waterfall is Syomyodaki (称名滝) which has 350m (1170 ft.) high. We have 3 best waterfalls (三大瀑布) in Japan, and 100 best waterfalls (日本の滝100 選) which selected by Ministry of the Environment and other NPO. If you are into waterfalls, check out the Japanese waterfalls. Many Japanese waterfalls have faces for each season. Some of the waterfalls will be frozen up completely in the winter. Some of the waterfalls have great autumn leaves. In the Spring, they have beautiful flowers, and in the summer, they have nice green leaves and huge amount of water.

Senga Waterfall

Senga waterfall (仙峨滝, sengataki)
Senga waterfall is one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan located Syosenkyo Valley in Yamanashi Prefecture. It has about 30m (100 ft.) high.
The fall is formed by the great rocks. The mist from the fall and scenes of rocks make cool air around the fall.

There are free parking and restrooms. It is very tight location but many gift shops and restaurants are opened around the fall.

Detailed Info for Senga Waterfall

It is very beautiful waterfall and very easy to see it because it located right next to the parking area. Because it is located in Shosenkyo Valley, many tourist visit this waterfall. You can start hiking at the lower part of the river, and enjoy waterfall at the end of Hiking. It will be 4km (2.5 miles) shourt Hiking. Shosenkyo was selected the most famous travel spot. So it is very nice to see great valley and fall. You can also visit Panorama Dai to see great view of Mt. Fuji and South Alpine.
